BJP Condemns Rahul Gandhi's Derogatory Remark Against PM Modi, Demands Apology

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi for his use of objectionable language directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi following India's loss in the ICC World Cup. The party demanded an apology from the Congress leader, warning that they would escalate the issue if the apology was not forthcoming. During a recent poll rally in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi referred to Prime Minister Modi as "Panauti Modi" while discussing India's defeat against Australia in the ICC World Cup final. The BJP vehemently condemned this remark, labeling it as "shameful and disgraceful." The BJP highlighted that Rahul Gandhi's comments showcased the Congress' frustration, portraying PM Modi as a nightmare for Congress members and enemies of India. They emphasized that PM Modi is widely respected in the country and globally for his vision and hard work. Ravi Shankar Prasad, a former Union minister, denounced Rahul's comment, citing its similarity to past derogatory statements made by Congress leaders. He reminded about Sonia Gandhi's reference to Modi as "maut ka saudagar" (merchant of death), linking it to the Congress's electoral decline in Gujarat. Expressing vehement condemnation, Prasad insisted that Rahul Gandhi must apologize for his disparaging remarks about the prime minister. He warned of escalating the issue if an apology was not issued promptly. The BJP representative further critiqued Rahul Gandhi, stating that his comments unveiled his true perspective and understanding. The party's strong stance against the use of derogatory language against PM Modi underscores their demand for an immediate apology from the Congress leader.
